How to restrict user access to certain destinations?
KOOB allows Tour Operator (TO) admins to control which destinations their team members can view or book. Restricting access by destination improves data security, team efficiency, and helps ensure that users only work within their assigned markets.
✅ Limit visibility and booking access to specific countries or regions
✅ Assign destination-specific roles per user (Editor, Viewer, No Access)
✅ Customize team access for better control and collaboration
🚀 Objective: Manage which destinations your team can access, view, or book—based on their role and market responsibilities.
Accessing user destination permissions
-
Log in to your KOOB TO account
-
Click on “Organization” in the left-hand menu
-
Scroll to the Users section
-
Click on the name of the user you want to restrict
📌 You must be an Admin to manage destination access for other users.
Setting destination-specific access
Once inside a user’s profile, you can assign a different level of access for each destination.
Access Level | Description |
---|---|
Editor | Can view, book, and manage trips and client folders |
Viewer | Can only view product factsheets (hotels, activities, programs) |
No Access | Cannot see or interact with any product from that destination |
-
Scroll to the Destination Permissions section
-
Select a destination (e.g., Vietnam, Spain, South Africa...)
-
Choose the appropriate access level: Editor, Viewer, or No Access
-
Repeat this process for each relevant destination
-
Click “Save” to apply the changes
📌 Tip: You can assign Editor access to key markets, and limit other regions with Viewer or No Access.
📌 Example: If your team member only handles Latin America, restrict them from Asia and Europe by setting those regions to No Access. |
Modifying destination access for existing users
-
From the Users list, click the ✏️ icon next to a user’s name
-
Update their access levels per destination
-
Click “Save Changes” to confirm
📌 Tip: Review destination access quarterly or whenever your team’s responsibilities shift.
Deactivating access to all destinations
If a user should no longer access any region temporarily:
-
Set all destinations to “No Access”
-
Or use the Archive icon to temporarily deactivate the user’s account
📌 This is useful for employees on leave, interns, or consultants between projects.
