🚀 Objective: Use the duplication tool to generate new template versions without starting from scratch or altering the original.
📂 How to duplicate a trip template ?
To duplicate a saved template:

Go to Trip Designer > My Trip Templates

Find the template you want to duplicate
- Click the 🔁 Duplicate icon on the template thumbnail

🧾 A pop-up window appears, where you can confirm the key parameters of the duplicated template:

|---|---|
| 🏷️ Trip name | The name is automatically filled as "Template name + copy" — you can rename it immediately (e.g. “The best of Thailand – Winter Edition”) |
| 🌍 Countries | The country is inherited from the original template and can’t be changed |
| 🏙️ Start location | First city of the itinerary (modifiable) |
| 🏁 End location | Last city of the itinerary (modifiable) |
| 📅 Departure date | Select the new departure day – used to trigger the TO pricing period |
| ⏳ Trip duration | Pre-filled and non-editable at this stage — it reflects the original template duration |
| 👥 Min / Max Pax | You can adjust the minimum and maximum number of travelers |
- Once you’ve reviewed the information, click 🟠 “Yes, continue”.
📌 Note: There is no status or image selection in the duplication pop-up — this step is handled later from the button "Save as a Template" in the Trip Designer.
- This redirects you directly to the Trip Designer, where you can begin editing the duplicated itinerary.

💾 Saving your duplicated trip as a template
Once the trip is ready:

Review the itinerary for accuracy

Click “Save as Template”

Enter the template name
- Select the status

- "Available": those ready for distribution to Tour Operators
- "In Progress": those in the process of being edited or not published as available
- "Stand By": those deactivated and not available for distribution to tour operators.
- Upload or select a banner image (KOOB suggests images from your content)
Your template will now appear in My Trip Templates.

📁 What happens after duplication?
Once the template is duplicated:

It becomes a new, independent template

It does not affect the original template in any way

It inherits the same itinerary, hotels, options, and pricing

You can freely edit the duplicated version without touching the source
