How to apply promotions and supplements to experiences?

Promotions and supplements help you fine-tune your pricing strategy in KOOB. Whether you're offering early bird deals, last-minute discounts, or applying seasonal surcharges, KOOB's Promo/Sup module gives you full flexibility to adjust your prices by experience type, season, and target Tour Operator (TO).

Where to create promotions & supplements?

For every experience type (program, activity, transfer, extra), KOOB includes a dedicated Promo/Sup tab.

Steps:

  • Open the experience

 

  • Go to the Promo/Sup tab (top left)

 

  • Click "New" to start creating a new deal

Creating promotions & supplements

When you click "New", you'll be asked to define the key attributes of your deal:

Field Description
Name Internal + visible title (e.g., "Early Bird 10% Discount")
Type Choose one: % discount, fixed amount discount, % supplement, fixed surcharge
Validity Period Define from/to dates when the deal is active
Applicable Days Select specific days of the week (e.g., weekdays only)
Per Pax or Per Product Decide if it applies per person or for the full group
Applicable TOs Restrict visibility to certain Tour Operators
Cumulative with Choose if the deal can be combined with others
Status Draft = hidden /Operational = Active / Archived = Stopped

βœ… Tip: Always set the Status to Operational to activate the deal.

πŸ“Œ Archived promotions: When a deal expires, it automatically moves to Archived, but can be duplicated or reactivated at any time.

 

How it works per experience type ?

Promotions for extras are useful to encourage upsells or reduce price friction.

βœ… Examples:

  • Free SIM with booking β†’ 100% discount on SIM extra

  • VIP upgrade supplement β†’ +$20 per person

πŸ“Œ "Cumulative with" feature allows you to stack multiple deals (e.g., Early Bird + Upsell).

 

🚐 Transfers

Offer flexibility for transfer pricing based on volume, season, or day of the week.

  • Airport Pickup Promotion β†’ –$5 on weekdays

  • Holiday Surcharge β†’ +$25 from Dec 20 to Jan 5
